 Dr. Michael Webb is a native of eastern North Carolina, his wife, Patti, a native Charlottean. They have lived in Charlotte since 1981. Dr. Webb completed his BA degree from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1975 and graduated from UNC School of Dentistry in 1979 where he received his degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery. He then went on to St. Louis University Medical Center, where he completed his post doctoral Masters degree in Orthodontics in 1981. Patti graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1978 and is a retired dental hygienist. Dr. Webb has been practicing in the Charlotte/Lake Norman area since 1981.
Dr. Webb is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, North Carolina Association of Orthodontists, the North Carolina Dental Society, and the Charlotte Dental Society. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He has given lectures nationally to orthodontic residents on diagnosis and treatment planning. Dr. Webb served on the Board at Providence Day School for six years where he received the Founders Award for Outstanding Leadership in 1998. He is currently serving on the UNC School of Dentistry Alumni Boardand the North Carolina Dental Foundation Board. Dr. Webb has been included in topDentists from 2007 through 2009, which has been published in Charlotte Magazine and is listed at usatopdentists.com. Based on an exhaustive peer-review survey by hundreds of dentists and specialists in the Charlotte area, inclusion is considered a top honor!
Dr. Webb feels patients deserve the best possible treatment. To that end, he does a very in-depth diagnostic work-up to provide the patient with all their treatment options. The teeth need to be in the proper position in the face for stability and facial harmony. As you can imagine, orthodontics can produce dramatic changes in the facial features, not to mention self-esteem.
Dr. Webb and Patti have been married since 1976 and have three children. Taylor is a 2005 graduate of the University of Southern California. She currently lives in Charleston, SC, and attends Charleston School of Law. Colin graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2007 and is now in his third year of dental school. Logan graduated from Wake Forest University in 2008. She is currently in her second year of dental school. Patti is active in local organizations and is currently working with St. Jude Hospital and King's Kitchen. She enjoys playing tennis in her spare time. When Dr. Webb is not working, he enjoys deep-sea fishing, golf, and snow skiing.
